Hope

Today I have Picture Polish Hope to show you.

Hope is a deep teal scattered holo, one of those that are so typical for Picture Polish. As an extra, Hope also contains some blue hex glitters. Application was easy, I used three thin coats for opacity, but if your layers are a little thicker than mine, two might be enough. On my ring finger I added a Star Trek decal, as I was wearing this mani for a live orchestra-accompanied presentation of "Star Trek - Into Darkness". One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

I wore this one a little longer than usual, and after three days it showed no signs of tipwear or chipping.

Picture Polish are available at LlaroweHarlow & Co.Overall BeautyPshiiit and their own shop (plus many more, here's a list of additional retailers).

Vested Exodus

For today's mani I used a polish out of my pretty big ILoveNailPolish collection: Exodus.

As base color I used Essie Vested Interest (Fall 2013 Collection), a grey-ish green creme. Two coats were enough for opacity.

Then I used ILNP Exodus and MoYou London Explorer Collection plate 07 to add a stamping. Exodus is a multichrome foil polish shifting between sapphire blue, aqua and green. In my eyes, it looks like a crushed gemstone in the close up shots. Under the stamping, Vested Interest seemd to change color and looked more like a blue-ish grey. As always, I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

ILoveNailpolish are available on Etsy and at their own shop.

Blue Steel

Today I have a new blie combo to show you.

My base color is Depend 324, a vibrant royal blue creme. The formula of this one is definitely on the sheer side, the three coats I used look opaque in my pictures, but held to the light, the nail line was still slightly visible.

Then I added one coat of Wingdust Collections Blue Steel, a lear base filled with iridescent blue, green and purple shard glitters and flakies.

The glitters spread nicely over the nail and change color depending on the light and angle you look at them. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish.

WingDustCollections polishes are available on Etsy and at Llarowe. Blue Steel seems to be discontinued.

Golden Oldie Thursday - Gradient

It's Golden Oldie Thursday again, this week with the theme "gradient".

For this mani I used only China Glaze polishes: Kinetic Candy, For Audrey and Exotic Encounters. I sponged a gradient (two layers) using a make up sponge over a base of Kinectic Candy. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for the shiny finish.

I thought about adding some glitter, but then decided to mattefy it with H&M Matte Topcoat.

Have a look at the other gradients:

Midnight Trek

Today I have the mani with the second exurbe cosmetics polish to show you.

My base color is exurbe Two Minutes To Midnight, I already showed it a couple of weeks ago. For the stamping I used China Glaze Take A Trek (shown here) and Bundle Monster plate BM-208. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top secured the stamping.

You can get exurbe cosmetics polishes here (Affiliate link).

Have A Little Faith

Today's polish is Cadillacquer's Have A Little Faith.

Have A Little Faith has a dusky taupe/mauve crelly base with white and plum hex glitters, tiny white square glitters and subtle pink shimmer. I used three thin coats for opacity and had no issues with application. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth and glossy finish.

Cadillacquer polishes are available on  Big Cartel, at Llarowe and at Harlow & Co.
I bought mine at the Big Cartel shop, of course, so the polishes could stay in the country insted of crossing the Atlantic twice... :-)

A Box, Indied - Pelican Village

The last polish of the june "A Box, Indied" is Different Dimension Pelican Village.

Pelican Village is a neon pink polish with a subtle shimmer that looks silver-y blue in my pictures, but is in fact pastel green. When I say neon pink, I really mean NEON, like a textmarker. The pictures aren't color-edited, the polish really is this bright and vivid.

I used a base of Essie Blanc on all fingers and added two coats of Pelican Village on my ring finger and thumb. With two differently sized dotting tools I added white and pink dots using Essie Blanc and Pelican Village.

Different Dimension polishes can be found on Etsy, at Mei Mei's Signatures or at Llarowe. Pelican Village is exclusive to the june "A Box, Indied". The box with five polishes is available at Llarowe as a one month only box or as subscription (50$ per box).
