Halloween plus Born Pretty Store stamper review

Tomorrow is Halloween! I don't celebrate it, it only came to continental Europe a couple of years ago and it wasn't a "thing" here when I was a kid. But where I live wednesday is a holiday and I don't have to work, so I'll probably going to stay up a little longer than usual tomorrow ;-)

For my Halloween mani I started with four coats of 365 Days of Color The Diary (Horcrux Collection), a light grey milky jelly polish with silver and gunmetal glitters in it. This one's very sheer, you can see it's still quite translucent with four coats. But it doesn't dry gritty, one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth, glassy finish.

For the stamping I used MoYou London Black Knight and Bundle Monster stamping plates BM-H06 and H-07. Of course, I added another coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top to protect the stamping.

For the stamping I used the huge double stamper Born Pretty Store offered me, with a white and a clear side. Thank you so much, Born Pretty Store!

The stamper is really huge, about 4cm in diameter, and it's a three peace set. You get the clear jelly stamper, protected with a clear lid, and a white marshmellow stamper on the bottom that you can remove. The bottom of the white stamper is filled with pretty white "diamonds", so you get something nice to look at while stamping ;-) Both stampers are really soft and quite sticky. At my first try, neither of them picked up the image at all, but after some light priming (I washed them with dishsoap), both worked well. Or better, the white one worked well, but not perfectly, I used this one on my little finger and you can see a little gap in the image. The other fingers I stamped with the clear one, and this one worked flawlessly. So if you're looking for a really big, soft jelly stamper, I can absolutely recommend this one. You can get it here for 4.59$.

365 Days Of Color polishes are no longer available.

The stamper was offered for reviewing purposes. Again, thank you very much, Born Pretty Store!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Halloween with negative space

Two 26 Great Nail Art Ideas manis in one week? Well yes, the one from monday was ten days late, but today I'm on time with my Halloween with negative space mani.

I don't really like negative space manis, since I don't like to show my naked nails (there's a reason why I've been wearing nail polish on a more or less daily basis for more than 20 years now...). But a challenge is supposed to be challenging, I guess... Here's what I used: Catrice Peacoktail (Feathered Fall Limited Edition), a dark duochrome with a almost black base and shimmer shifting from green to pink, and two different nail vinyls, a graveyard scene and bats. The lines are a little blurry because I had to use two coats of the polish for opacity, they get more crisp with only one coat. I used the same vinyls two years ago for a Halloween challenge mani, but with a little more color back then... As usual, one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Marble Water Decals

Today I want to show you some lovely water decals I bought from Born Pretty Store.

The water decals come in a huge sheet with 12 different patterns, so you can get a least a dozen manis out of this sheet, and it costs less than 2$! It's this item here, and I used the middle pattern in the second row from the left. If you want to order from Born Pretty Store, don't forget my discount code you'll find in the right side bar ;-)

For my pinkie, index and thumb, I used two coats of Essence Under Water Love (Aquatix LE), a deep teal textured polish with green shimmer. I didn't use any topcoat over this one, to keep the textured finish, but of course I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top over the decals.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th? Yes, I know that was ten days ago. But I only learned that there will be another round of 26 Great Nail Art Ideas when I was on my way to the airport to spend a week in lovely Budapest, so I couldn't prepare a mani in time. But better late than never, right?

I went for a very simple design for the first prompt of the second round. Black nails and two accents, a black cat and a green clover. Wait, a clover for luck?! Let me explain you why: I strongly believe that there is a certain amount of luck every day for the whole planet. And if some people are convinced they are less lucky on a friday the 13th, then others must be more lucky than usual, mathematically speaking. And I want to believe that I belong to the second group. So here's my "good luck friday"-mani, with clovers and a black cat for luck (I love all furry animals, so I just can't see a cat as a symbol for bad luck, no matter what color). I used MoYou London Black Knight, White Knight and Ever Green plus Bundle Monster plates BM-H05 and H08 (plus my usual coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top).

Nail Crazies Unite: Vampy Matte

Vampy matte is the theme for the last Nail Crazies Unite week (I sure hope there will be another round...).

Vampy means dark colors for me, red or purple. In my untrieds I found this Pahlish Mystery Polish, a deep, almost black purple-leaning red that reminds me of ripe black cherries. It has some copper and purple flakie shimmer in it. I used three coats for opacity.

To match the beautiful fall trees, I added some golden leaves using Barry M. Gold Foil and B. loves plates B.04 leaves of happiness plate. After one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top I added one coat of Picure Polish G'Day Matte for the matte finish.

Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel and at Overall Beauty.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - grau

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is grey.

My base polish is Depend Nr. 372, a medium grey with blue flakie shimmer. This one is rather sheer, I used three coats and it wasn't completely opaque.

For the stamping I used China Glaze Little Drummer Boy and MoYou London Pro Collection plate 23. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Cherish The Fall Semester

Some teal and green for today.

As base color I used three coats of ILNP Fall Semester, a deep teal holo. As you can see, my bottle is quite old (they changed the bottle form years ago), but the formula is still easy to work with.

Then I stamped on a swirly pattern using China Glaze Cherish and DRK XL Designer plate 1 and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.
